What is CBD Isolate?
CBD Isolate is exactly that; isolated CBD (hence the name). Basically, it’s CBD in its purest form. When CBD is first extracted from the hemp plant, all of the plant material is still present. This is what is used to make full-spectrum CBD oil. In order to isolate the CBD from the extract, all of the plant matter compounds like chlorophyll, oils, and waxes that are part of the hemp plant, need to be removed leaving only CBD. This is accomplished through a purification process. First, the extract is filtered to remove all excess plant material. Next, what’s known as the “winterization process” takes place. The winterization process removes any remaining plant waxes or other plant material that may still be present after the filtration process. The end result is a fine, white powder that is 99% CBD. CBD isolate contains zero THC, the cannabinoid in the cannabis plant known for its psychoactive effects, making it the best option for anyone who is sensitive to THC or is subject to regular or random drug tests.
Because all of the terpenes and flavonoids of the hemp plant are removed, CBD isolate has no odor of flavor making it extremely versatile. CBD isolate can be used in several ways. For a daily dose of CBD, you can put some directly under your tongue for quick absorption. After a minute or so, the CBD gets absorbed into the bloodstream through mucus membranes under the tongue.
